I reaffirm my administration’s zero-tolerance policy on illegal waste disposal. In line with this, I facilitated LAWMA’s intensified clean-up and evacuation of refuse along adjoining sections of the Ijesha–Apapa–Oshodi Expressway as part of our ongoing efforts to improve sanitation, safeguard public health, and build a cleaner and safer environment for our people.
I urge all residents, households, and business owners to embrace responsible waste management by using only designated PSP operators and desist from dumping refuse on roads, medians, and drainage channels. The Lagos State Government remains committed to enforcing environmental laws, and anyone found violating them will face the full weight of the law. Together with the Environmental Task Force and our stakeholders, we will continue routine surveillance, public enlightenment, and strategic partnerships to keep Itire–Ikate clean, healthy, and sustainable.
